MADE IN ITALY IRONING: PRODUCTS, TECHNIQUES AND INNOVATIONS

Made in Italy finishing equipment has always made the difference and still continues to do so. The watchword is quality that goes hand in hand with eco-sustainability and savings in terms of energy consumption. The market is quite broad and diversified, ranging from the laundry sector to communities, from tailoring to touristic accommodation facilities. But in which terms could we better explain the added value of the Made in Italy products and machines? A "Made in Italy" product must be conceived, designed and entirely produced in Italy, which we essentially understand as the Italian
supply chain. Automated form finishers and trousers toppers, but also simple irons and the glorious presses. What is the winning card or the most innovative ideas that you focus on to achieve a competitive advantage?

BATTISTELLA B.G.

In the international landscape of professional ironing, the "Made in Italy" represents a bastion of quality and innovation. Italian companies in the sector, often family-run, stand out for their unique added value: the knowledge and experience passed down from generation to generation.
Italy has always been the homeland of ironing machinery, both in terms of manufacturing companies and ancillary businesses. Many suppliers of spare parts are 100% Italian, forcing competitors, especially Chinese, to come to Italy to purchase components, thus reducing their competitiveness.
Battistella B.G. Srl is a perfect example of this living tradition. Founded on a solid foundation of craftsmanship skills and industrial innovations, the company preserves the knowledge and experience of its founder, Mr. Guerrino Battistella, while integrating the fresh perspectives of the
second generation (Daniele Battistella) and the third (Michele Battistella). Our machines are designed and manufactured exclusively in Italy, following a process that ensures the highest quality
and innovation. This Italian supply chain not only guarantees products of excellence, but also special attention to eco-sustainability and reduced energy consumption. Every detail, from the selection of materials to the assembly stage, is carefully planned, reflecting our passion for craftsmanship and respect for the environment. Our products catalogue ranges from automated outerwear form finishers, shirt and trouser presses, to the most sophisticated presses and simple irons. Each product is the result of a perfect balance between tradition and innovation, where traditional skills meet state-of-the-art technology to deliver superior, long-lasting performance

GRANDIMPIANTI

GRANDIMPIANTI In the Made in Italy context, the new GI roller ironers produced by Grandimpianti stand out for their quality, efficiency, and innovation. Designed and manufactured entirely in Italy, these machines provide exceptional ironing results by ensuring an uniform pressure on the fabric, increased productivity, and optimized workspace. The special design of the roller and chest, not only that has reduced the footprint of the machine by 20%, but also introduced the innovative and patented MCTS (Multipoint Contact Thrust System) and PLS (Pull-wire Lifting System), offering unique ironing quality. The possibility to adjust temperature, roller rotation speed and pressure ensures not only excellent ironing results but also great versatility of use, long-term reliability, and consistent durability of the entire machine. These features make Grandimpianti ironers ideal for a wide range of sectors: from laundries to hotels, from communities to textile companies.
In a broad and diverse market, the company's trump card is the attention to detail and the ability to meet customer needs. The GI ironers are designed to be user-friendly, safe, and reliable, featuring easy-to-use ergonomic displays, advanced safety systems such as the automatic and automated mechanism that separates the plate from the roller in case of a blackout (no levers or cranks to operate manually), and solutions that prevent unnecessary downtime. Even in the event of maintenance, these machines are designed to minimize any inconvenience: they do not have components exposed to mechanical wear, such as gas springs, and allow easy access to all parts
of the machine by removing just four panels and using a single type of screwdriver.

In a nutshell, Grandimpianti's roller ironers perfectly embody the concept of Made in Italy in the world of professional ironing: uncompromising quality, constant innovation, and respect for the environment

MACPI

Macpi considers that the shirt finishing machine model 291 is one of the most innovative in terms of both automation and energy savings. Organized in four workstations (loading - steaming -blowing - automatic unloading), the shirt ironing machine delivers perfectly finished and crease-free garments. Very easy to use, thanks to the blowing system that is active even during the rotation of the dummies, the technology is designed to manteoptimize each work phase, guaranteeing a higher productivity by ironing 150 garments per hour with just one operator and significantly reducing downtimes. Additionally, the machine is designed with air vents for hot air recovery, that is further used for the blowing phase. The model 291 is also encased to ensure greater safety for operators and to retain heat inside, thus preventing it from dispersing into the environment. Nowadays, having four single form finishers would require a total consumption of about 60 kW, while the 291 machine consumes about 15 kW. In addition to achieving a higher productivity, there is also a significant energy savings. Among the advantages, we highlight: automatic loading of hangers; adjustable tension clamps specifically designed to gently stretch the sleeves to prevent creases; hot air recovery reused for blowing; simplified air filter cleaning; automatic unloading of shirts directly on hangers; dummies with lower height compared to other producers, that make the operator's work less tiring.

PONY

Synonymous with the beautiful and well-made, Italian fashion has evolved over time often dictating the rules of international fashion and also determining the development of textile care machines. At Pony we are proud to be among the leading Italian companies offering professional ironing machines in the world. It should, in fact, be pointed out that at our headquarters in Inzago we manage the entire production chain: once the product has been defined in our 3D research and design areas, production begins with the two flat sheet laser cuts and tube laser cutting and then moves on to the automatic bending and robotic welding stations in our metalwork shop. Products are then sent to our environmentally friendly painting plant and posteriorly to assembly and testing stations until final shipment. At all work stages we take care of every detail, always ensuring the highest production quality. It is important to emphasize in the production context that one of our added values lies in our continuous investments in technology, which allow us to bring to the world market the best products always offering an extremely competitive quality-price ratio that is also the result of Italian mechanical excellence. Strategically speaking, one of the secrets of Pony's success lies in its ability to adapt to any market. In fact, our wide range of products offers innovative and technologically advanced solutions for every working need, guaranteeing our customers simplicity and profitability that lasts over time, always keeping an eye on energy saving through the ENERGY SAVING technology developed by Pony to reduce consumption and reuse the energy produced. In addition, we have always aimed to improve the services offered to our customers, a fundamental requirement for the better management of their daily work. An example are PONY TOUCH TECHNOLOGY, which allows total control of the machine even remotely (productivity, diagnostics and settings) and the PONY CLOUD platform, a real link between the machinery and the entrepreneur.

RENZACCI

It has been many years now that Renzacci Spa has completed its very wide range of machinery with a series of CALENDERS AND IRONING MANGANS that range an equally rich series of models and versions (gas, electric and steam) from 1.2 meters up to 3.2 meters of useful ironing surface. This range, characterized by high productivity with very low energy consumption, combines high productivity with low labor costs for extreme ease of use and maintenance reduced to almost insignificant levels. In the MSA range of self-drying calenders for example The simple but advanced computer manages ironing times, temperatures and speeds with very high precision to offer a flawless result to prove the most demanding customers. The possibility of also requesting the latter series with dual front and rear exits makes the models particularly flexible and combinable with folding machines.

STIROTECNICA

Stirotecnica Srl has gained considerable experience since 1969, which, added to the quality of the materials used and the care devoted to the design and execution of each item, make the brand a synonym for safety and reliability. The wide range of irons (electric, electro-steam, steam only, seam opener, etc.), which allows to meet any need on the part of the user, includes numerous models: the classic LEMM and MAXILEMM series equipped with a cork handle to those of the H or TECHNE series equipped with a wooden or cork-rubber handle. The latest novelty presented are the TWIN and AIRTWIN models, visible in the photo, which combine the open handle with a more high-performance and up-to-date plate. The many versions of the irons are complemented by a rich range of accessories, designed and built directly by Stirotecnica including, for example, the LEMMFLEX overhead suspension system. Finally, we would like to mention the new BLULEMM thermo-steaming gun. The BLULEMM is a gun that, unlike those on the market, also manufactured by Stirotecnica itself, superheats steam from a generator inside it. All the uses for which unheated steam guns are intended can be carried out with greater efficiency and speed by the BLULEMM thermo-steaming gun. In addition, there are numerous application areas such as automotive, medical or industrial cleaning

TREVIL

Innovation has always characterized Trevil and its products. Reconfirming this is the latest patent filed by the Pozzo d'Adda-based company, adding to its intellectual property assets. It is the automatic hanger loading system applicable to both Trevil carousel shirt stretchers: the blown carousel Trevitandem and the pressed carousel Prestotandem. The centerpiece around which the patent revolves is the system's ability to pick up the individual hanger independently, solving potential overlapping. The operator can take the hangers out of the box and load them onto the system, without having to waste time separating them one by one. In conjunction with this loading system, the two carousel shirt ironers can be equipped with an automatic unloading device. When the ironing cycle is complete, the unloading device hooks up the shirt and can direct it onto a storage track to await manual pickup, or it can feed it onto an automatic conveyor belt to be directed to subsequent quality control and reassembly stations. The automatic loading and unloading system can work in perfect harmony with existing conveyor belts. Its software can be integrated with that of the conveyor system so as to provide for the deactivation of automatic unloading in the event that the conveyor belt is stopped due to failure or simply an overload of garments. In all these cases, automatic unloading is also deactivated by returning the shirt, already on the hanger, to the operator, with the advantage of not having to stop production.
