We are almost there. In just over a month, from 23–26 October 2026 at FIERAMILANO RHO, the doors will open to EXPODETERGO INTERNATIONAL, the leading international trade fair for the global textile care industry.
The key themes - or, better still, the thematic coordinates - of this edition will be automation, Artificial Intelligence, digitalisation and sustainability. Innovation will be the common thread running through them all - their shared denominator. Companies from across the broad and diverse world of textile care and maintenance will take centre stage. But visitors, too, will be among the protagonists. Driven by entrepreneurial curiosity and the desire to discover the latest technologies and solutions, they will gather in Halls 1 and 3 of the Milan exhibition centre. But let’s take an overall look at what to expect at EXPODETERGO INTERNATIONAL 2026.
Here are a few figures: 229 exhibitors will be present, including 143 Italian companies and 86 international companies, from 26 countries: Austria, Belgium, China, South Korea, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Israel, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Spain, the United States, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan (Province of China), Turkey and Hungary. Both Halls 1 and 3 have been completely booked for several months, a result confirming the strong interest in the market and the exhibition’s ability to attract the leading players from across the global textile care industry.
Over the four days of the exhibition, the conference programme will feature four in-depth sessions, addressing issues of relevance to both small laundry businesses and large industrial laundries.
Digital transformation, new textile materials, skills development and industrial development models will be at the heart of the conference programme at EXPODETERGO INTERNATIONAL 2026. Technological innovation and Artificial Intelligence are transforming production processes, business organisation and customer relationships, creating new opportunities for efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness.
The evolution of textiles will also come under the spotlight. Innovative fibres and materials are creating new challenges for textile care, requiring increasingly specialised maintenance techniques to preserve quality, performance and durability. Yet people remain at the heart of this transformation.
The programme will conclude with a focus on organisation and performance. Contributions from a textile research laboratory will explore models and perspectives designed to support the development of industrial laundries and, more broadly, the entire textile-care supply chain. Together, these themes further reinforce EXPODETERGO INTERNATIONAL’s role as a key reference point for professional exchange, knowledge-sharing and the development of the textile care industry.

From an editorial perspective, we have dedicated a Special Edition of Detergo to the exhibition, accompanied by the Exhibitors’ Catalogue and Folding Map. These tools will make it easy for visitors to identify each participating company and locate its hall and booth.
