In this Cover Story, ÈCOSÌ introduces a new perspective, one that reflects a profound transformation underway in industrial and professional laundries - a structural shift in the very nature of the sector. A true Copernican revolution is redefining the market. Competitiveness is no longer determined solely by washing quality or service pricing, but by the ability to manage processes in a scientific, continuous, and measurable way. This approach not only responds to current market demands but also anticipates future challenges.
Competitiveness is no longer determined solely by washing quality or service pricing, but by the ability to manage processes in a scientific, continuous, and measurable way. This approach not only responds to current market demands but also anticipates future challenges.Until recently, the industry treated two key dimensions as separate: cost reduction on one side and environmental sustainability on the other. Today, this distinction has effectively disappeared. Optimizing the use of water, energy, and chemicals is no longer just an environmental choice, it is a strategic lever that directly enhances operational efficiency.
The most advanced laundries have already embraced this principle. Every liter of water saved, every degree of temperature reduced, and every optimized cycle delivers a double benefit: lower operating costs and reduced environmental impact. Two goals that are now closely interconnected and mutually reinforcing.
The approach of ÈCOSÌ marks a decisive shift: from a reactive model centered on products to a proactive system based on process control. The benefits are concrete and measurable: greater consistency in quality, reduction in rewash cycles, optimized consumption of resources, extended textile lifespan and, above all, increased operational control.

Within this evolving framework, considering detergency as a standalone product is increasingly inadequate. It must instead be understood as part of a complex system involving machinery, process parameters, water quality, types of soil, textile characteristics, and dosage control. This is where the gap between traditional and advanced approaches becomes evident. In the traditional model, decisions are largely reactive, based on trial and error, product substitution, or corrective interventions when problems arise.
In the evolved model, the logic is reversed. Actions are driven by data and control: variables are monitored, processes are analyzed, and decisions become predictive rather than corrective. The objective shifts from simply “washing well” to ensuring consistent, repeatable, and efficient performance over time. This is the foundation of a method that redefines how laundries are managed.
At the core of this approach lies the Laundry Check, a structured analysis designed to evaluate the entire production process. Through targeted assessments and on-site verification, it identifies inefficiencies, critical points, and areas for improvement. The methodology is based on concrete data, collected and processed through proprietary tools dsigned to ensure full traceability and maximum process control.
As Antonio Ciccarella, Laundry Division Manager at ÈCOSÌ, explains: “We have worked with leading industrial laundries in Italy, as well as numerous professional and OPL operations. In one of our most significant projects, we introduced lowtemperature washing systems, achieving substantial reductions in energy and water consumption while maintaining high standards of washing and disinfection. This demonstrates that, when processes are under control, sustainability and efficiency are not in conflict, they reinforce each other”.

In this context, ÈCOSÌ positions itself not only as a supplier of chemical solutions, but as a provider of integrated systems, including machinery and washing technologies, capable of delivering tailored solutions.
Performance is no longer linked to a single component, but to the interaction of all elements within the system. Regardless of whether the application is industrial, professional, or OPL, the methodological approach remains consistent: adaptable, tested, and oriented toward efficiency and sustainability.
In an increasingly demanding market, where customers and regulations require transparency, efficiency, and sustainability, it is no longer sufficient to deliver results. Companies must also demonstrate and explain how those results are achieved. The laundry of the future will not simply be more efficient or more sustainable. It will be more aware, capable of managing every phase of the process with precision and control. This awareness is the result of a fundamental shift: moving from a product-based logic to a process-driven one.
Oggi, l’innovazione non risiede più in ciò che utilizziamo, ma in come lo controlliamo. •
