TESSILTORRE: excellence in quality, supply chain control and table linen culture

Quality is never improvised. It is built starting from the selection of raw materials, consolidated through rigorous manufacturing processes, and measured over time, when the product continues to perform flawlessly without generating problems. This is the philosophy that guides Tessiltorre, a company specialized in producing textiles for industrial laundries and hospitality sector as explained by Maurizio Paleari, Sales Director Italy. “We have always focused on excellence. We pay the utmost attention to yarn quality, dyeing, finishing, and quality control. Our goal is that once a product leaves our factory, it never becomes the subject of complaints, but only of new orders.”

This vision places reliability and durability at its core, essential qualities in an industry where textiles are subjected daily to industrial washing, ironing, and intensive use. For this reason, Tessiltorre develops products designed to simplify the work of commercial laundries by ensuring strength, easy maintenance, and consistent performance over time.
“Quality begins long before production,” explains Paleari. “Everything starts with the selection of raw materials. We inspect every batch of yarn to ensure it meets the required standards. When the foundation is excellent, the finished product will also meet expectations.” The same philosophy also governs the relationship with the market. Tessiltorre aims for quality by establishing long lasting collaborations with customers who share the same values. “We do not want to be simply suppliers. We look for partners with whom we can develop long-term projects. Our work does not end with a delivery; it continues every day.”

What are the main market changes?

According to Paleari, the Italian restaurant industry has undergone significant changes. “In recent years many restaurants have gradually abandoned traditional tablecloths in favour of bare tables, paper products, or minimalist solutions. This trend, in our opinion, risks impoverishing the customer’s experience. People who choose an Italian restaurant also look for an authentic Italian atmosphere. A properly set table is part of our culture and of the convivial dining experience or which Italy is recognised worldwide.”

Nevertheless, encouraging signals are emerging. “The rising cost of disposable products and a renewed focus on table aesthetics are favouring a gradual return to textile table linen. In some venues we see fabric making a comeback. When the cost of paper approaches that of textile, many operators rediscover the advantages of a more elegant, pleasant, and durable solution.”

Tessiltorre’s core business remains professional table linens, complemented by a growing focus on linen cotton blends and premium-quality products. At the same time, demand for customization continues to increase. “More and more restaurants are asking for embroidered or logo printed napkins, turning a functional item into a powerful tool of brand identity and communication.”

How is a new product created?

“Innovation is driven by market needs. The company is working on finishes that make stain removal easier and allow gentler washing, benefiting both laundries and product longevity. Innovating means listening to the customer and developing solutions that simplify its work.” Quality also stems from supply chain control… “We weave the fabric internally, while dyeing and finishing are entrusted to highly specialised Italian partners, maintaining strict quality control throughout all production stages. The use of certified materials and complete traceability are also essential elements of our company strategy.”

Looking ahead to EXPODETERGO INTERNATIONAL 2026 Tessiltorre will showcase new product proposals, reinforcing a vision that goes beyond mere textiles. “We would like to help enhance the culture of the Italian table. Table linen is not just a technical item: it is part of the identity of Italian hospitality and the value we offer our guests. The ‘Made in Italy’ culture at the table is an added value.” A philosophy that perfectly summarises the company’s journey: uncompromising quality, concrete innovation, and relationships, as well as products, designed to last. •
