Only few days are missing to the opening of EXPOdetergo International 2022, the leading international trade fair dedicated to machinery, services and products for the laundry, ironing and textile cleaning that will take place from 21 to 24 October at Fiera Milano.

Restart edition

An important edition, that of 2022, because it will be dedicated to the restart. After the past two years, is the first event in presence in Europe, properly prepared to give a concrete response to the visiting operators.
More than 200 exhibiting companies will be present and, thanks to their proposals, it will be possible to have a complete overview of the market and its driving offer in terms of technologies, products and services for the textile care: from dry-cleaning
and water-washing machines; ironing machines; professional detergents; management systems and 4.0 solutions; complete and automated lines, and up to the textiles proposals
(bedding and table linen), with high-quality fabrics and linen for rental for hotels, spa centres and restaurants.

Main themes

These are the three focus key themes characterising the exhibition proposal: sustainability, digitalisation and sanitisation. Today the laundries are being challenged to undertake a major change, paying a special attention to the environment, digital evolution and the hygiene guarantee, seeing them as the three main key points that can practically contribute to the sector development. “Doing more with less”: this has been the main goal driving the textile care sector for few years now. Sustainability means keeping a maximum efficiency, hygiene and productivity obtained with less energy, water and detergents.

At the trade fair, many brands will focus on eco-friendly and energy-saving solutions. As an investment result in R&D and innovation that today, more than ever before, with the problem of the high bills for the utilities, are essential to ensure continuity for individual companies, whether small or large. From the simple washing machines to the large automated lines, from detergents to chemical additives, the entire exhibition will expose the advantages and the potential of an increasingly green business.

But not only. The latest generation of machines are nowadays always more connected, capable of reducing or eliminating the human error possibility, of planning the management of a garment from its arrival to delivery, and of managing their maintenance even remotely. Digitalisation, always more present thanks to the strong development of the sector, will characterise a large part of the proposals, guaranteeing increasingly efficient operations and the possibility of keeping constant the personnel costs with an increasing productivity. The sense of health and wellness experienced in contact with the cleanliness is a real contribution to one’s well-being: the last few years have taught us even more about the importance of this aspect, that, especially for the hospitals and nursing homes, hotels and restaurants, becomes indispensable.

Sanitisation, which has always been fundamental, becomes even more necessary today: the combination of latest generation machines, detergents, and washing techniques will be displayed at the trade fair.

More than 80 high-definition LED walls throughout the Fiera Milano exhibition centre will provide real time information, helping visitors to have a better orientation around the exhibition spaces and discover the details of the event.
