There are companies that follow the market, and companies that lead it. For over forty years, Trevil has undoubtedly belonged to the latter category. To understand the DNA of a company that has made solidity and innovation its pillars, we met with CEO Corinna Mapelli, daughter of Felice Mapelli, one of the founders. "The journey began in the early 1980s", starts Ms. Mapelli, "when three young men decided to bring their ideas to life. What has guided us ever since is the desire to find new solutions to our customers' real-world problems". This mission is more relevant today than ever. In a market facing an energy crisis, labor shortages, and calls for sustainability, solutions cannot be generic; they must be precise, almost surgical.

And at Trevil, that precision starts with the design. Here, the "Made in Italy" concept is not a label, but a controlled process. "Our production model is firmly rooted in our local region. We design everything in-house and manage the entire process, with the core of our production and complex assemblies centered in our Pozzo d'Adda factory" Mapelli points out.

"For certain phases,we rely on a network of trusted local partners who work under our direct supervision. This system gives us flexibility and meticulous quality control, which for us means one thing: reliability". But there's a detail that reveals a deep understanding of a laundry's needs: maintainability. "When our designers create a machine, they think about how it will be repaired, and how simple that process should be". A Trevil machine is built to last and to be easily kept in efficient working order—an invaluable asset in the long run. It is not uncommon to find units installed more than twenty years ago still in operation, a testament to a design philosophy focused on continuity rather than planned obsolescence.

This engineering-driven mindset provides targeted answers to today's challenges. On the energy front, the focus is on optimizing the use of heat and steam, minimizing losses and waste. On the labor front, their vision was pioneering. "We started developing automation back in 1998, to guarantee an excellent finish without the need for specialized operators". The most recent example is revolutionary: a duble buck shirt finishers with an automatic hanger loading and finished garment unloading system. "A shirt is a low-margin item," explains Ms. Mapelli. "Shaving even a few seconds off the handling time for each piece is what makes it profitable".

And the future?

On this point, the CEO remains strategically tight-lipped, a sign that Trevil is already working on the next evolution in the industry. This long-term vision is the foundation of their business philosophy, perfectly summarized in her concluding words: "For us, a sale is not just a sale. We work to give shape to our clients' vision, with a sincere, consultative approach".

Choosing Trevil today, therefore, means equipping your business not just with a high-performance machine, but with a strategic partner whose goal is the growth and efficiency of its clients' businesses. A solid Italian success story, with the intelligence and passion needed to forge the future. •
